Find your glow - Amp up your exfoliation

Exfoliating has always been a must-do for healthy skin.

Let us explain.

When you slack off with exfoliants all your dead skin cells, plus other grime and gross stuff can hang around on your face long after you want them to.

That sounds gross…

It is! {Check out this article here on just how gross it actually is!}

And it can lead to clogged pores, breakouts, congestion, dullness and the build-up prevents your other products from penetrating deeply and actually, um, working.

What even is the point of exfoliating?

Your skin has five layers to it, and the newest skin cells are at the bottom of that. Then those new cells mature {nawwww} they make their way to the surface* (*and along the way perform some cool tricks to ensure your skin is water proof).

But, when they get to the top layer, they're DEAD skin cells. Eventually, they'll slough off into the environment and newer cells will come to the surface. Exfoliation simply helps that natural process along, and that's why we made our Chamomile & Walnut Scrub* (composed of all-natural, organic ingredients, including chamomile and lavender oil to protect and soothe while crushed walnut scrubs away impurities). *So you can put your best face forward.

Ultimately, you can exfoliate as often as your skin will tolerate it.

How often do I use them?

You should be exfoliating two or three times a week to keep your skin happy and glowing and your pores seriously clean.

Any more than three times a week can lead to irritated skin, which compromises the skin’s barrier (as bad as it sounds!) and causes all kinds of havoc for your skin.
